Wicknell Chivayo’s Donation Fuels Church Building and Social Upliftment

Zimbabwean entrepreneur Wicknell Chivayo recently extended a helping hand to the Zion Christian Church (ZCC), expressing admiration for their impactful Easter Conference.

The event, hosted by Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi, drew over 300,000 faithful worshippers, showcasing the church’s dedication to prayer, worship, and national well-being.

“My small donation to the Church was largely inspired by the philanthropic work that the Church is mostly passionate about. Whenever an act of love is selflessly demonstrated, I easily associate myself with it and try my best to promote it.”

Chivayo commended ZCC for its unwavering dedication to Zimbabwe’s development, particularly through prayer support for national leadership.

Bishop Mutendi’s leadership in the Zimbabwe Indigenous Interdenominational Council of Churches, which advocates for socio-economic upliftment, garnered praise from Chivayo, who emphasized the importance of private sector support for such initiatives.

“It is my patriotic duty as a young successful Zimbabwean businessman to develop my own Country, and what better way than to start with the church. So this donation fully recognizes the important role of the church in praying for the State and its leadership and answering the clarion call on the need to promote and develop our own Nation.”

Chivayo underscored the ZCC’s alignment with the 2nd Republic’s Vision 2030 goals for inclusive socio-economic development. By empowering the less privileged, ZCC alleviates the burden on the state, showcasing the church’s vital role in national progress.

“Nyika inovakwa, igo namatirwa, igotongwa nevene vayo. ENOUGH SAID…” (The nation is built by its people, their prayers, and their efforts.)

Chivayo’s donation exemplifies a collaborative effort between the private sector and religious institutions, emphasizing the crucial role of churches in nation-building.

As ZCC continues its noble mission, Chivayo’s support serves as a beacon of hope, inspiring others to contribute to Zimbabwe’s growth and development.
