A South Africa-based up and rising gospel musician Themby Blossoms Nkiwane has released a video for her song titled “shall be greater”. A song that she released last year as a prayer for Zimbabwe.
In an interview with this publication, Nkiwane said that the song was meant to encourage all Zimbabweans across the globe that they should work and positively contribute for their nation and to have hope despite some challenges that might be affecting their livelihoods such as economic hardships, racism that they might be facing in foreign lands and some permanent marks that were left by COVID-19 pandemic.
“A new video is all about encouraging Zimbabweans not to loose heart on what we are facing either economically or in any other way, we might be struggling, hated or being chased from other countries but this video is just to encourage us to keep our eyes on God who will restore everything according to his time.
“It is a non political song, let us keep our hopes high for we shall surely rise again, we will become the breadbasket of Africa as before, all prophecies about our country will be fulfilled, let us not speak negative about our country or cry but let’s pray and speak good about our desires,”said Nkiwane
Meanwhile, Nkiwane revealed that operating as a musician outside Zimbabwe was not complicated with however the great need for one to be focused and determined so as to avoid falling a victim of sexual abuse since there were those who would want to take advantage of female artists through offering disguise assistance.

“Working as a female gospel artist here in South Africa is not that difficult, you need to be confident and know what you want because if you don’t,there are always those men who are waiting to take advantage of you so it is wise as a female musician to avoid free services by making sure that you finance your own work, do not seek too much favors. If you do that you will be respected and not reduced to a sex object,”she added
