Chitungwiza, Zimbabwe – Arising and Shinning Chitungwiza Miracle Center, a church founded by Bishop Tendai Chaplin Jehu Bvuwayi, celebrated its 18th anniversary. The church, which started small, has grown into a thriving ministry with assemblies across Zimbabwe and beyond, including Highfields, Mutare, Mutasa, Sarupinda, Mozambique, South Africa, and the United Kingdom.

The celebration began with a blissful march from the Huruyadzo service station to the church stand situated in the Chivhanga area in Chitungwiza. Local Residing Overseer Dhamini expressed gratitude for the church’s growth, saying, “I’m overwhelmed to witness the work of God growing in his grace and plans as according to the call which God gave to his servant whom he called years ago.”
Pastor C Chidavaenzi preached during the service, emphasizing the power of patience and diligence in spreading the gospel. “As the church attains 18 years, God is set to shift dimensions in believers’ lives. All one needs is to lean on His promises and master the art of faith and declaring better and good days ahead,” she said, referencing 2 Chronicles 3:12.
Pastor C Chidavaenzi also added, “This is a church of hope and faith. We are trusting God is set to raise us and the ministry to greater heights, for we are gearing for another level of ambassadorship in Christ through outreach.”
Many congregants shared powerful testimonials about how God transformed their lives, with some having been healed from bondage and life curses.
Bishop Jehu, who founded the church on July 5, 2007, addressed the congregation virtually, urging them to emulate the biblical Paul’s determination to press on towards the mark of the high calling, referencing Philippians 3:12. He expressed gratitude to members who had supported the church and acknowledged the mentorship of the late Apostle Guti. “Let’s ask God to visit our lives and change a lot of stagnant things. Let’s audit and correct ourselves to adapt to the right ways of worship to attract the attention of God,” he said.

Elder Mwaturura praised the church’s growth, saying, “I’m proud to see our church growing. The growth we are seeing is a sign that as a church, we are adapting to the teachings of Bishop JEHU.”
As Arising and Shinning Chitungwiza Miracle Center marks its 18th anniversary, it looks forward to continued growth and service to the community, spreading the gospel, and transforming lives.
