The International Preachers Council of Churches held its Annual General Conference recently at the Dutch Reformed Church in Harare, Zimbabwe. The event brought together 96 church leaders from across the country, uniting them in a shared commitment to spiritual growth, community service, and leadership development.

Apostle Victor Magwera delivered a powerful presentation on the dangers of drug and substance abuse, sparking a lively discussion among attendees. Apostle Dr. Ngonidzashe Chiwada shared inspiring insights on becoming a good leader, emphasizing the importance of integrity, humility, and servant-leadership. Chaplain Ambassador Aaron’s lecture on tourism and mental health for church leaders highlighted the benefits of self-care and stress management.

Rev. Dr. David Phiri, President of the International Preachers Council of Churches, announced the 2026 plans and appointed new leaders to key positions. The new leadership team includes Archbishop Scholastica Marimo as Vice President, Apostle Victor Magwera as Secretary General, and Bishop Vanadi Nyanoka as Treasurer General.

Rev. Dr. Phiri emphasized the importance of unity, love, and cooperation among church leaders, regardless of denominations or resources. He encouraged leaders to work together, support one another, and prioritize the needs of their communities.

The conference ended with a surprise birthday celebration for Rev. Dr. David Phiri, who was showered with cakes, gifts, and love. A contribution was made to purchase a car for him, bringing tears of joy to his eyes.

The conference concluded with a prayer for the nation of Zimbabwe, seeking peace, love, and unity among church leaders, communities, and government officials. The event marked a significant milestone in the history of the International Preachers Council of Churches, demonstrating the power of unity and collaboration in shaping the future of Zimbabwe.
