The campaign theme of ‘Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress’ resonates with the biblical teachings of love, acceptance, and unity.
In Romans 15:7, we are reminded to “welcome one another, therefore, as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.” This verse emphasizes the importance of embracing diversity and fostering inclusivity within our communities.
When we inspire others to understand and value women’s inclusion, we contribute to building a more just and equitable society. In 1 Corinthians 12:12-13, we are reminded of the unity in diversity within the body of Christ:
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.”
As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let us reflect on the diverse gifts and talents that women bring to our communities, workplaces, and churches.
Let us commit to removing barriers and biases that hinder women’s full participation and contribution.
Together, let us inspire inclusion and forge a more inclusive world for women, where their voices are heard, their talents are recognized, and their rights are respected.
