The Tabernacle of Grace Church (TOG), founded by Apostle Batsirai Java (ABJ), is celebrating 20 years of establishment, marking a period during which the church has witnessed the hand of God since its inception.
Apostle Java, a passionate soul winner and transformational leader, shared powerful insights during an interview with a presenter at a local commercial radio station, discussing the church’s journey from its genesis to the present day.

“In 1995, April 7, I gave my life to Jesus when I was very young. I preached to my family. I started to win souls when I was doing Form One. As time went on, I won Prophet Passion, who was 11 years old at that time.”
“It has been an exciting journey. I have a lot of young pastors who came through my church. I can list a lot: 57 pastors’ wives and 42 pastoral and apostolic heads.”
“I gave my life to Jesus when one of my friends asked me to attend a meeting of a certain bishop, led by Bishop Gumbi. At that very moment, he picked me and gave me a prophecy that I would be an apostle. He also said that I would preach all over the world. I didn’t know it would be possible, and that bishop really respected me as I was like a man of God. From that day, my life has changed,” Apostle Java explained.
“There was a time when I questioned my calling. When God calls you, He shows you where you are going, but sometimes He doesn’t show you the place, and the way can be very painful, especially if you want to do things the right way,” he reflected.
“I am also the leader of our family. It is very hard to lead very talented people. You have to be very patient, very gentle, very understanding, and very loving to encapsulate that as a family. We do very well; there is love, there is peace, and there is unity,” he continued.
Apostle Java is not only a preacher of the undiluted gospel of Jesus Christ but also a mentor, life coach, trans-generational thinker, accomplished author, and empowerment specialist. He emphasized, “Without trials or without challenges, you can’t be broken; if you are not broken, you can’t be humble, and God hates pride.”
With unparalleled and profound wisdom, Apostle Java is passionate about empowering individuals to achieve their God-ordained destinies. He has dedicated himself to nurturing young men and women in ministry who are called by God.
