Grace of God International Ministries (GGIM) led by Apostle Michael Mauramba has embarked on philanthropic works of donating basic food items, which will be targeting both the underprivileged members of the church and non-members.
Speaking during the official launch of the initiative on Sunday 29 June 2025, Apostle Mauramba expressed that the move aims at showing love and generosity to the members of the community who are struggling to get basic commodities saying that the program will be a monthly thing benefiting widows, child-headed families and people with disabilities.
“So today I am launching this initiative as an instruction from God. We will be doing this every month and by God’s grace we will try to help all groups of people who are struggling with life.
“Charity is about showing love and it opens doors of blessings. We will be giving items to both internal and external members who are in need for example widows, child-headed families and people with disabilities,” he said.
Some of the beneficiaries who received the donations expressed their joy and gratitude to the gesture saying that it demonstrated the presence of love and oneness in the church.
“As a widow I was surprised today to be given something so that I can feed my family. To be honest I was not expecting it so I want to thank the man of God for remembering us today,” she said.
“Sometimes when we come to church, we expect to find comfort both spiritually and physically. I was cracking my head on where I was going to get food and rentals since it is month end but I want to thank God that he has sent his servant who truly cares for the sheep of God. I feel peace now,” she said.
The items that were donated to the beneficiaries include mealie-meal, rice, and sugar among others.
