Pastor Prime Kufa, a close aide to United Family International Church (UFIC) founder Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa, has been appointed to the Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) board.
President Emmerson Mnangagwa appointed Kufa among seven new members to serve on the broadcasting regulator’s board for a four-year term.
The appointments were announced in a statement issued by Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Nick Mangwana, on September 4, 2026.
According to Mangwana, the appointments were made in terms of *Section 4(2) of the Broadcasting Services Act [Chapter 12:06]
NEW BAZ BOARD MEMBERS
Kufa joins the following to form the new BAZ board:
1. Tendai Jennifer Mandizvidza
2. Godfrey Mutobaya
3. Magna Mudyiswa
4. Caroline Makoni
5. Cloud Nyamundanda
6. Vengai Rushwaya – Chief Serima
BAZ is responsible for licensing broadcasters, regulating content, and overseeing compliance in both radio and television in Zimbabwe.
