Speaking during the colourful ceremony, Cross of Salvation Visionary Prophetess Barbara Jesica Rwodzi who is also the Executive Director of Jaison Foundation expressed great pleasure to the development saying the success of the event gave her peace and assurance that many souls in Zimbabwe will be saved.
“We are so blessed today. Our event went on well, people were healed, delivered and received their prophesies. I was not expecting such a crowd but it shows that God is with us and I believe God that many souls in this country will be saved.
“Our theme was inspired by John 5 whereby a man was invalid for 38 years but when Jesus arrived, arrived, was made right. We are saying take your mat and go, don’t allow some things to hinder your life.
“Also Psalms 23 says the Lord is my shepherd so I want to tell someone not to be shaken by a situation, David was in the wilderness but he believed God,” said Rwodzi.
She added that through the Jaison Foundation, they will continue to advance the kingdom of God to homeless people across Zimbabwe.
“It is also my calling to reach out to the poor. So now that we are in Zimbabwe, through this foundation we will continue to preach the word of God and bring many homeless people to Christ as you just saw that in our service we had others who are under our banner,” she added.
Other gospel ministers who shared the word of God encouraged people to start by creating a good relationship with God if they wanted his blessings to follow their lives.
“Prophetess Ayesha Mugwinyi said “Genesis 1:1 says in the beginning God. You should check yourself if you have a good relationship with God or you only want his blessings. We can take a good example of Enock in Genesis 5:24 who had a good relationship with God so today we are saying have a covenant with God and agree to associate with God for your blessings to come,” she said.
Prophet Tendekai Magamura said “You cannot walk with God whilst living in sin, living an adulterous life… You need to live a pure and righteous life,” he said.
Preaching from the book of 1 Kings 18:32-33, Prophet Wesley Mafuru said “Elijah built an altar in the name of the Lord and this clearly shows that you should not start alone. Sometimes we fail because we do not start with Christ but when Jesus comes into your life he settles all the matters,” he said.
Meanwhile sharing testimonies at the service, one of the attendees said” I was transformed, delivered and redeemed. I was a drunkard, a drug addict but the word of God changed me, l believe that I am now a better person so I want to encourage my colleagues to believe God indeed there is God in heaven who can change a situation,” he said.
Jaison Kaunda who is a former drug addict testified how the word of God transformed him from a life of misery to a better life.
“As a former homeless person I want to thank Reverend Rwodzi for her love and caring, she is the one who took me out of the streets. Now I’m a better person who is able to even preach the good message to those who are still in the streets.
“Today this service transformed me in many different ways.I have been encouraged, motivated, revived, strengthened and taught to be a responsible person in life. I have been equipped with the word of God,” he said.
Entertainment at the session was provided by Beatrice Mambo Masawi with support from other ministers of gospel.
