Evelyn Natsai’s single “Nyengetera” was officially released on November 30th 2024 and she took to social media to share the heart behind her new single, “Nyengetera”. She explained that the song is a powerful and uplifting song that conveys a message of hope and perseverance. The title reflects its theme of encouraging believers to remain steadfast in their faith, even in the darkest and most uncertain times.

“Nyengetera is a song that encourages believers to keep praying even when the world is dark and gloomy and there is nowhere else to go”

Evelyn Natsai recently shared that she draws inspiration from the talented Janet Manyowa, a renowned Zimbabwean gospel musician

“I love Janet Manyowa. She is a professional gospel musician and her songwriting shows that she has a deep understanding of the Word of God”

Evelyn Natsai credits the Word of God as the guiding light in her life. She finds inspiration to sing praises and worship through meditating on scripture.

“However, the Word of God is the light of my life and whenever I am meditating on God’s Word I am inspired to sing praises and worship my Creator.”

Evelyn Natsai shared the inspiration behind her song “Nyengetera”, revealing that she wrote it in response to the overwhelming pressures and challenges that many people face. She observed that in desperation, some turn to unhealthy coping mechanisms like alcohol and drugs, rather than seeking comfort in prayer.

“When I wrote this song I looked around and noticed that a lot of us out there get so overwhelmed by life’s pressures and the difficult challenges that surround us that we fail to find words to even pray to our Creator and end up turning to other sources of comfort like alcohol and drugs.

“In the song, there is encouragement to pray in both good times and bad times,” she said.

Evelyn Natsai is a rising star in the gospel music scene, using her talents to spread the message of love, hope, and redemption. Her music is a beacon of light, offering comfort and solace to those navigating life’s challenges.
