Midlands Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and devolution Hon Owen Ncube today toured Hamamavhaire Irrigation scheme, Mhende irrigation scheme and Holy cross dam in Chirumanzu district. 

Hamamavhaire Irrigation scheme consists of 98 hectares of maize and it benefits 115 local families from 5 wards, whilst Mhende irrigation scheme caters for 434 families. Chillies, wheat, beans, groundnuts and green mealies are part of the crops grown in both schemes.
