Highfield Temple witnessed an outpouring of support and gratitude as hundreds of members from The Salvation Army Women’s Ministries across the Zimbabwe and Botswana Territory (with Madagascar) gathered to bid farewell to the dedicated and industrious Territorial President of Women’s Ministries (TPWM), Commissioner Deborah Bungay.

“Territorial Leaders, Commissioners Bungay, to Return Home and Retire After Distinguished Service”
Commissioners Wayne & Deborah Bungay, who have served as Territorial Leaders for the past three and a half years, are set to return to their home Territory of Canada & Bermuda, following orders from the Office of the General.
Their new appointments are scheduled to commence on April 1st, 2024, leading up to their well-deserved retirement in November 2025.
The leadership transition will see Commissioners Robert & Janine Donaldson, officers from the New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga, and Samoa Territory, assume the role of Territorial Leaders (pro-tem) from April 1st to May 31st, 2024.
The announcement of new Territorial Leaders, set to take over on July 1st, 2024, will be disclosed in due course.

Expressing gratitude for the ministry of Commissioners Bungay, the Zimbabwe & Botswana Territory (with Madagascar) extends warm wishes for their final appointment in their homeland and forthcoming retirement, marking over 40 years of service as officers in The Salvation Army.
