The gathering commenced with a vibrant and joyful worship service held at Accra Ridge Church, an interdenominational centre that serves as a fitting backdrop for the occasion.
The Rt. Rev. Lydia Neshangwe, President of the All Africa Conference of Churches and Moderator of the Uniting Presbyterian Church of Southern Africa, delivered a stirring sermon during the opening worship service.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Barnabas and Saul, she highlighted the power of unity in the face of differences, emphasising that “we are stronger together.”
She urged participants to demonstrate unity, as it is through this unity that the world will come to know the transformative power of Jesus Christ.
The Rev. Dr. Casely Essamuah extended a warm welcome to participants, both from Ghana and around the world, as they gathered for the Fourth Global Gathering.
Throughout the day, attendees had the opportunity to share their faith stories with one another, bridging the gaps and celebrating the diversity of traditions and experiences represented.
As the Fourth Global Gathering unfolds, participants are eager to engage in dialogue, prayer, and fellowship, seeking to deepen their understanding of one another and strengthen the bonds of unity that transcend denominational, cultural, and geographical boundaries.
