Gospel musician Darlington Mutseta, popularly known as Mambo Dhuterere, has officially launched his latest Extended Play (EP) album titled ‘Kudenga kuna Manuwere’.
The new project features four uplifting tracks: “Ndiye Manuwere,” “Sunungura nezodzo,” “Kudenga kuna Manuwere,” and “Zororai,” showcasing Dhuterere’s signature sound that has made him a standout figure in the gospel music scene.
In collaboration with Simplex Records and Makumbe, the production of this EP promises to resonate deeply with fans and newcomers alike. In a recent interview with NewZimbabwe, Dhuterere elaborated on his decision to collaborate with notable comedian Frets Donzvo and Repent Kutyauripo for the songs “Kudenga Kuna Manuwere” and “Zororo.”
He attributed the collaborations to inspiration from the Holy Spirit, emphasizing the need to introduce talented individuals to a wider audience. “I believe Frets Donzvo is more of a musician than an actor; while he excels in both, music is his true calling,” Dhuterere stated.
The release of music videos for the title track “Kudenga kuna Manuwere” and “Sunungura nezodzo,” funded by Diaspora Insurance, has also made waves. Within just 20 hours of their debut, the videos combined to attract over 175,000 views, highlighting the strong interest in Dhuterere’s work.
Dhuterere revealed that the primary aim of the EP is to foster a spiritual connection with listeners, with Jesus at the center of its message.
“The goal was to address and heal the inner being, following my divine calling,” he explained. As ‘Kudenga kuna Manuwere’ continues to gain traction, Mambo Dhuterere reaffirms his commitment to uplifting audiences through his music.
