Dear Beloved Mothers in The Salvation Army,
Warm greetings and heartfelt congratulations to all mothers, grandmothers, and aspiring mothers across the Nigeria Territory as we celebrate this special Mother’s Day.
Today, we honour and appreciate your invaluable contributions to our Families, Corps, and Communities. Motherhood is a divine calling that goes beyond giving birth; it involves nurturing lives, shaping character, and building strong foundations of faith, love, and godly values.
As we celebrate, I encourage every mother to reflect on this year’s Territorial theme:
“Building Capacity for Greater Impacts” (Ephesians 4:12–13).
This theme reminds us of the importance of growing spiritually and developing ourselves so we can make greater impact in our homes, our corps, and the society. As mothers, we are uniquely positioned to influence and raise the next generation for Christ.
The Scripture also reminds us in Matthew 5:16:
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
May our lives continue to shine as examples of faith, compassion, and godly leadership wherever God places us.
On behalf of the leadership of Women’s Ministries, I extend warm felicitations to all Salvationist mothers and aspiring mothers across the Nigeria Territory.
My dear husband, the Territorial Commander, Commissioner Friday Ayanam, also sends his warm greetings and congratulations to you all.
Happy Mother’s Day!
May God continue to strengthen you as you build capacity for greater impacts.
With love and prayers,
Glory Ayanam
Commissioner
Territorial President of Women’s Ministries
