Happy Age Foundation, a foundation which caters for the welfare of senior citizens through emotional and psychosocial support has set a seniors and young couples workshop to be held on 9 March 2024 on a date to be announced.

The workshop will be running under the theme “Invest wisely in marriage and family, learn from the legends.”
The Foundation’s administrator Michelle Kazangarare stated that the workshop is meant to bring together both young couples and senior citizens towards creating a platform of interaction that will necessitate sharing of ideas and advice on how to have strong, happy and lasting marriages especially amid an increase of divorces globally.
“The agenda of the workshop is to educate young couples about marriage, they will be educated by senior citizens who have been in marriage for a long time.
Other areas that will be of focus include conflict resolution in a marriage among others.
“So we are encouraging young couples to come and register for this life-transforming session which will benefit them for the rest of their lives,” she said

Meanwhile, Happy Age Foundation Programmes Co-ordinator Rumbidzai Jairosi said that “The theme of the workshop focuses on bridging the generational gap and fostering mutual understanding and support between senior citizens and young couples.
It will also emphasise on the importances of learning from each other’s experiences and perspectives as well as promoting healthy ageing and thriving relationships across different stages of life.
“Attendees will benefit from the workshop by gaining practical knowledge and skills relevant to their life stage. Seniors will learn about retirement planning and healthcare options.
Also young couples will benefit from relationships advice and communication strategies, strengthening their bond and setting a solid foundation for their future together,additionally both groups will have the opportunity to connect with each other, fostering a sense of community and support across generations,” said Jairosi
