Godly Women Without Boarders through the Bhasikoro for Jesus campaign on Saturday 25 October 2025 donated bicycles to 10 rural pastors as a way of capacitating them to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ especially in hard to reach areas.

Speaking during the handover ceremony that took place at Dutch Reformed Church Hall in Harare, Godly Women Without Boarders visionary Pastor Lucy Kawenda expressed that the initiative aims at empowering rural Pastors with necessary tools for soul winning.

“When this vision came, I did not know that It was going to be successful as it is today. When God showed me a vision I had no idea of how were we going to mobilize the resources but by God’s grace we now have Godly Women Without Boarders partners who stand with the vision.

“The initiative aims at equipping Pastors who live in rural areas with bicycles so that they can be able to move around winning souls and attending to their sheep. We know that in rural areas people walk for long distances, so the bicycles are there to ease mobility challenges for the Pastors.

“I want to express my gratitude to all our partners and to my husband for supporting our vision,” said Kawenda

Beneficiaries who received the bicycles during the ceremony commended the organisation for its efforts to attend to their transport woes saying that their work has been made easier to partake.

Pastor Prince Chakafa from Hurungwe said “Today I am filled with so much joy as a servant of God. Sometimes it becomes painful to do the work of God without adequate tools to use. In rural areas where we come from, sometimes we walk more than 10km just to attend to our members and by the time we reach there we are already exhausted. Now that I have a bicycle I am very sure that I will be attending to the needs of my church members in time,” he said.

Pastor Moillah Mazviwanza from Buhera said “Sometimes the work becomes so hard to do and sometimes you will do it with bitterness. Transport is very critical for a Pastor because anytime your services are needed. Now my heart is light, I know that my movements are going to be easy. I am so grateful to Pastor Kawenda,”she said

The Pastors were also equipped with literature materials to empower them with knowledge so that they can be able to lead with wisdom, among these materials include soul winning books.

Bhasikoro for Jesus is an annual campaign which targets only Pastors from remote areas.
