Uprising renowned gospel preacher Evangelist Marshal Handinachangu Nangati has advised young people to celebrate the festive season responsibly, in a way that does not endanger their health and Christian-life.

In his message to the youths, Evangelist Nangati warned them against taking drugs and engaging in filthy things saying that festive season celebrations have never been about discarding positive norms, values and Christian values but to honor God by celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

“As youths you do not need to be involved in drug and substance abuse.

“No matter how hard things might be, that is not the passport to be engaged in things that erode the future or destroy the relationship with God,” said Nangati

Moreover, he encouraged the generation to establish a good relationship with God.

“What is important in this season and world is to have the kingdom mindset which comes by having a relationship with God.

“As young people, if we begin to live in the kingdom of God we become alert to what happens in the world and we gain power to overcome temptations of this world. Let us repent and know Jesus as our Savior,” he added.

The festive season, particularly Christmas, holds significant meaning for Christians as it commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. It is a time of joy, love, and celebration, marking the arrival of hope and salvation.

In Zimbabwe, the festive season often coincides with summer holidays, making it a popular time for family gatherings, vacations, and celebrations.
