Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Development and Vocational Training Minister Tino Machakaire recently launched the Personal Ministries 2026 Blueprint and the Centre of Hope which envision to empower young people to become self-sustaining and effective to contribute to the development of the nation.
This occurred at a colourful event hosted at Seventh Day Adventist Church in Harare which drew multitudes of young people from across the city guided by the theme, “Empowering Youth for Transformation and Mission”.
Speaking during the launch, Minister Machakaire said “The Centre of Hope is about meeting young people where they are through skills training mentorship counselling and life building programmes that respond to real challenges.
To the young people of Harare and beyond, this space is for you,get involved get equipped and step into your purpose. You are not a problem but you are the solution and together we are building confident, skilled and purpose driven youth for Zimbabwe’s Vision 2030,”he said
He further called upon young people to preserve the true dignity of Christianity saying “Whatever that you do as a young person should glorifies God and make sure that it elevates the banner of the church,”he added
The development has drawn great attention on social media with many youths commending it to be effective in addressing their concerns.
One of the youths Tadiwa said “When I heard Minister speaking about the Blueprint, surely I recognized that our government has the youth at heart.This development I believe will go a long way in youth inclusion,participation and economic empowerment.
“I just want to say to all the youths, let us seek knowledge about this facility so that we will be able to spread the message about it and make others benefit too,”he said
The church plays a significant role in supporting government initiatives in key areas that include; social service providing healthcare, education, and welfare programs to marginalized communities.
It has also been instrumental in community development promoting economic empowerment, poverty reduction, and infrastructure development, disaster response and moral guidance among others.
