Rising gospel minister Nelson Gurure has launched his debut album on 31 July 2026 titled “My Testimony”, marking his official entry into Zimbabwe’s gospel music scene.
The seven-track album carries a special message that encourages people to have hope in Christ no matter their circumstances. It also speaks to the power of testimony in a believer’s life -how sharing what God has done can build faith and inspire others.
Speaking during the online launch, Minister Gurure reflected on his own journey:
“He said he was once singing for a traditional group, but he then transitioned to begin singing for Christ because he realised that he had to use his gift for the praises of God,”he said
“He also encouraged listeners not to be defined by their past painful experiences.
“Your past which could have been painful and disadvantaged must be something that pushes you and gives you hope for the future. It should encourage you to make impact and not to give up,”he added
Meanwhile, minister Gurure further used the platform to speak directly to youth advising them to be determined and focused with their destinies.
He warned them against destructive behaviors and taking drugs and substances saying “Such a practice can cause you to lose focus in life and hinder you from achieving your dreams,”he added
Church leaders, fans and fellow musicians who jouned the launch described the album as timely and uplifting, saying it speaks to both spiritual growth and practical life challenges facing many young people today.
The album carries the songs that include NdiMwari, Had it not been the Lord, Ndipeiwo Simba, Jesu anopedza masports, Handipere tariro and Ndikarangarira kwandakabva.
