Bishop A. Madawo has a strong conviction of a united front of all Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) splinter churches to find each other and come together to celebrate their shared faith as one family in Christ. This he expressed during his celebration of his 57th birthday at Zimbabwe Shiloh Word Miracle Centre in Harare.
He reminded the congregants of the importance of finding one another in the body of Christ, than remain separated by differences because they believe in one God and the mission of the church is one. A united force is an edge against the devil and is a delight in the eyes of God.
AFM has suffered several splits from its inception in 1915 in Zimbabwe by Zacharias Manamela, a covert from South Africa. Recently, in 2018, the division between Reverend Amon Madawo and Reverend Cossam Chiangwa stemmed from leadership dispute. Despite Supreme Court ruling, the two factions remained apart. Both groups are affiliated and recognised by AFM International.
