Renowned gospel musician and preacher Minister Kudakwashe Mandizvidza has warned believers against abandoning the family unit over church affairs.
In his sermon shared recently, Minister Mandizvidza revealed that God wants people to be united in the family and to be responsible to each other especially for married couples.
“God expects people to prioritize Him, family and Church in that order. Today I want to say to the women, do not neglect your husbands and to all men I want to say do not neglect your wives.
“Even if your partner is a non-believer keep respecting them as it is a foundational principle of God’s design and a direct, explicit commandment. Respect and love must be at the centre of everything in your families,” he said
He further said that some of the problems that partners face in their relationships is as a result of disrespect and lack of understanding on how important is the family unit in the sight of God.
“There are some mischievous behavior that se husbands do. It is not because that they are like that but sometimes they do not find it worthy to honor you especially when you are neglecting your family or partner for church. Let us not breach the plan of God,” he added
Ephesians 5:33 says “However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” This verse directly connects a wife’s honor for her husband alongside the husband’s love for her.
