The picturesque town of Waterfalls was the setting for an inspiring Ordination Ceremony presided over by Reverend Dr David Phiri, the President of the International Preachers Council of Churches (IPCC).
The ceremony, witnessed by a gathering of Bishops and Pastors, marked the ordination of Dr. Apostle Ngoni Chiwada and his wife, Shumira, the founders of Body of Christ Apostolic Churches International, as well as Bishop Word Mushonga, the founder of The One Way Apostolic Faith Church.

In his sermon, Rev Dr Phiri emphasized the importance of unity within the body of Christ, urging the servants of God to keep the faith and cast no shadow, quoting from Luke 22:31-32, he said,
“Simon, Simon, behold, Satan demanded to have you, that he might sift you like wheat, but I have prayed for you that your faith may not fail.”
He encouraged the clergy to embody good leadership, drawing from the example in 1 Corinthians 16:17-18, “I rejoice at the coming of Steph′anas and Fortuna′tus and Acha′icus, because they have made up for your absence; for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such men.”
Furthermore, Dr. Rev Phiri exhorted the newly ordained Bishops to be strong and unashamed in sharing the word of God, citing Romans 1:16-17, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel: it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed through faith for faith; as it is written, ‘He who through faith is righteous shall live.'”
The ceremony was a testament to the dedication and commitment of those being ordained, as well as the support and encouragement they received from the community of Bishops and Pastors.
This event follows the recent graduation ceremony held on Saturday 29 June at Rainbow Cinema Hall 1 in Harare, where 27 individuals graduated in Certificate in Transformation Leadership Theology.
The ceremony was attended by former university students, members of the International Preachers Council of Churches, and Bishops from Harare, Mutare, and Chinhoyi.
