Soul winning remains key to the growth of the ministry and to perpetuate the legacy of Archbishop Ezekiel Guti as it was his core value, and a man to emulate, Senior Archbishop Professor Eunor Guti has said during the 65th anniversary celebration of ZAOGA on 11 May 2025 at the Harare City Sports Centre.
“As we continue with the legacy of the great man Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, let us have a burden to win souls and imitate what the great Apostle was doing,” Senior Archbishop Professor Eunor Guti has said.
In her message, Senior Archbishop Eunor Guti described the journey as burdensome while revealing that perseverance through prayer and the word of God, together with the grace of God, has sustained the Pentecostal movement for such an epoch.
“As we continue with the legacy of our Father Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, let us imitate what we saw him doing. Let us be filled with godliness and love one another.
“Let us have a burden for souls to bring them into the kingdom of God. How can we do that, at our workplaces and wherever we go let us befriend others, love them and testify what the Lord has done in our lives and by doing that others will be interested to receive this same Jesus Christ whom we have received,” she said.
Professor Guti further described ZAOGA FIFMI as an impactful ministry that has not only advanced the kingdom of God but also changed the lives of the members and positively contributed to the country’s development through entrepreneurship and infrastructural development among others.
“Our church has been impactful in the country’s development through infrastructural development. Not only that, but our church has raised entrepreneurs, people can now work using their hands because when our father was alive, he was always teaching us to work, and this has been effective in eradicating poverty, begging and thuggery.
“Also, for the past 65 years our ministry has been instrumental across the globe in promoting peace, unity and love. Where there is ZAOGA there is peace because we preach Jesus Christ who is our peace,” she added.

Meanwhile some of the believers who shared their testimonies on the anniversary day expressed excitement about the day citing that their lives have been changed because of the teachings in the ministry.
Mrs Bobo said “As a young lady, the working of talents changed my life. I am now able to send my children to school and to get something to eat with my family. Our lives have been changed,” she said.
“Happy anniversary ZAOGA, as a youth, I can testify that my life was saved from the dangers of drug and substance abuse. Our Father taught us to work with our hands and not to be lazy. I want to encourage other young people to embrace the teachings that are in this church; they are life-changing,” said Paddington.
Among other notable infrastructures that ZAOGA FIFMI has established in Zimbabwe for the past 65 years include Mbuya Dorcas Hospital, the Zimbabwe Ezekiel Guti University (ZEGU) and schools for Primary and Secondary education across the country.
ZAOGA (FIFMI) was founded by the late Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti on May 12, 1960, in Bindura, Zimbabwe. It was started under a gum tree when Apostle Ezekiel Guti responded to a call from God.
