About 39 pastors from various denominations graduated and 13 others were ordained into the five-fold ministry by Brilliant Saints Theological College on the 7th of December at an event held in Harare Central Business District.
The procession was led by the founder of the college, Reverend Dr. David Phiri and Academic Dean, Apostle Enias Dambudzo.
Addressing students during the event on behalf of the college, Apostle Dambudzo applauded students for their hard work and commitment during their studies, which led to their success.
“I thank you all for your dedication in studies. Although it was not easy to be on this day, you made it possible.
“Allow me to applaud our Principal Director, Rev. Dr. David Phiri, for the spirit of love and a heart of caring. This year marks the best year ever in terms of pass rate. Out of *45 students* registered with us, we have 39 graduating today.”
“I do hereby encourage the graduates to live by the word of God and walk upright for the kingdom of God. Ndinoti makorokoto makuru mese nekukunda muzvidzidzo zvenyu Mwari vamasimbaose ngavakusimbisei nekukugonesai.”
He assured students not to be in competition with their superiors as they may start to boast about the papers they now hold.
“As you go back to your churches, please respect your elders, pastors, and those interested in your charge. Musaite makwikwi navafundisi venyu Mwana wehuku inhiyo. It is good to be humble always and learn from your superiors. Theological certificates are not a passport to enter heaven or a qualification to start a ministry. I urge you to go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Faith Chikohora received the first prize award and Natasha Mucheche earned the second position award in the Certificate program. Leah Rubende received the first prize award and Christopher Mirisawu got the second prize award in the Diploma class.
Reverend Phiri who is also the president of the International Preachers Council of Churches, congratulated the students and taught them to remain effective in maintaining high standards of morals and to uphold the dignity of the community they serve.
“Allow me to express my heartfelt gratitude to all students who have gone through Transformation Leadership Theological studies from Certificate to Diploma level and obtained a distinction mark. Ndinoti makorokoto makuru ngazviende mberi.”
“It is now my fourth time presiding over a Graduation Ceremony since the establishment of Brilliant Saints Theological College. BSTC will remain strong and effective in maintaining high standards of morals to bring back dignity to the Christian community. Let us go and shine and become good leaders”, he said.
Apostle Whichway Mlauzi opened the event with a starting prayer. Following Apostle Season Samanyanga delivered the welcoming remarks.
The attendees were then encouraged by Apostle Dr. Ngoni Chiwada who shared a word of encouragement. Apostle Memory Gadzikwa offered a prayer for the ordained students.
Brilliant Saints Theological College is an arm of the International Preachers Council of Churches and has the task of equipping church leaders with *Transformation Leadership Theology.
