The Revival Bible Institute on Saturday 7 December released a total of 220 gospel ministers who were ordained and graduated with different ministerial credentials at a colorful graduation and ordination ceremony which took place at the Zimbabwe College of Music in Harare.
The gospel ministers were awarded certificates, diplomas and higher national diplomas in disciplines which among others include Christian Counselling, Pastoral Studies, Leadership and Chaplaincy.
At this occasion, Chancellor Professor Raymond Mujeyi was awarded an Honorary Service Award for Transformative and Trans figurative Leadership and Prophetess Agrita Mujeyi was given the Honorary Service Award for Leadership and Excellence courtesy of the Revival Bible Institute.
Speaking during the ordination of gospel ministers, RBC Chancellor Professor Raymond Mujeyi implored the graduates to do the work of God with determination and make impact with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
“Now that you are ordained and accredited you are now allowed to do the sacred work of God, to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and dedicate people. I want to encourage all of you to go and make impact and to work with determination knowing that this is the work of God, bring souls to the kingdom of God.
“So we have the Eagles Nation board which governs ministers and the Ministry under which we have given these ministers licenses to be the ministers of the gospel. Today I am also excited to give you a gift in the form of of book titled Ministerial Manual which I wrote to guide you in your work,”he said.
Speaking as the guest of honour, Dr Tafadzwa P. Matsika said that the greatest mission of gospel ministers has always been to bring hope to the human race through preaching the good news about Savior Jesus Christ.
“You have power to create, you are little gods because the Bible says that we were created by God’s image and made little lower than angels. Your words are powerful, you can build or destroy. God himself created everything using a word.
“As you enter a new season, change the narrative, recreate things, go out and create hope and happiness as pastors,” said Matsika.
Meanwhile, some of the graduates who shared their experiences on the day expressed their pleasure about the graduation and vowed to vigorously propel the kingdom of God.
Tichaona Mutero said “The ordination marks the beginning of my journey as a gospel minister. We have been equipped with knowledge on how to be effective as a gospel minister in winning souls and building societies. Not only that we were equipped on that area but we also got equipped with knowledge to address issues of drug abuse especially in this period when many young people are abusing drugs at a worrisome rate,” he said.
Nyasha Precious Muradzikwa who has been studying Leadership in Theology said “I now have leadership skills. It is very difficult to lead people without knowledge, now that I am trained I am going to be an effective leader in advancing the kingdom of God,” she said.
RBC was established with the mandate of equipping gospel ministers with relevant skills in various disciplines and has released some of the popular ministers who among others include Dorcas Moyo and Minister Namatai Chinyerere.
