Dr. Joseph Guti has been consecrated as the principal steward of Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa Forward in Faith Ministries International (ZAOGA FIFMI) entrusted with its vision, direction and apostolic oversight across the nations with effect from 25 January 2026.
The memorable ordination ceremony took place at Ezekiel Guti Convention Centre in Harare where multitudes gathered for the international Sunday service to witness the occasion.
Speaking while leading the ordination ceremony, ZAOGA FIFMI South Africa Archbishop Elias Soko has described Archbishop Joe Guti’s style of leadership as vibrant and deeply rooted in the spiritual DNA of the ministry saying that his elevation will ensure continuity of the great mandate.
“The demise of a founding father is always a defining moment in any organisation as it raises many questions such as ; will the vision endure, will unity be preserved, will the next generation of leadership walk faithfully in the path laid before them.
“In that solemn season, Dr. Joe Guti was entrusted with the role of International Executive Chairman assuming responsibilities for guiding the ministry forward, he later took on the office of Presiding Bishop and these were not symbolic appointments but they were assignments of great weight requiring discernment, courage and unwavering Faith in God.

“Since assuming leadership, he demonstrated steady leadership, he has led with humility rather than haste with wisdom and with a deep spiritual DNA, and he has preserved the founding vision, protected doctrinal integrity and strengthened unity across our International family. In doing so he has shown that continuity was not stagnation, henceforth today we see his elevation to the office of Archbishop which calls him to remain resolute and faithful to leading with excellence,” said Soko.
As she was administering the oil during the ordination ceremony, ZAOGA FIFMI chief consecrator Senior Archbishop Professor Eunor Guti has warned the new leadership to have a long suffering heart saying “Today I warn you as I anoint you that you need to guard your words that you speak, you are being anointed with a sacred oil which resembles authority so I want to advise you that as you will be working with people there might arise some harsh situations that might provoke you to speak but as people who now carry authority you should have a long-suffering heart and love so that you do not be quick to speak even heavy words because whatever you shall say will come to pass,” she said
Meanwhile, taking the oath of office Archbishop Dr. Joseph Guti pledged faithful leadership and adherence to the ministry’s guiding principles and doctrine.
“Today I pledge before God and Jesus Christ who will judge the living and the dead in his appearing to keep the doctrine, guidance, rules and policy of ZAOGA FIFMI.I will be willing to receive correction where I have gone wrong, I will remain faithful and committed in doing the work of God and remain humble before the Archbishops, Bishops, Executive Board and ZAOGA family,” he pledged.
The ordination ceremony has also seen the elevation of Secretary General Mishael Nyambo and Deputy Secretary General Steve Simukai to become Bishops.
The newly ordained Archbishop Dr. Joseph Guti has been leading as the Presiding Bishop of the 65-year old pentecostal movement since 2023 when the Founder Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Guti died at the age of 100 years.
