Seasoned clergy with a career spanning over a decade, Apostle Silence Mazuru has been honoured with a Doctorate and ambassadorship role by AfroAsia University of Spiritual Warfare for his devoted services in an event held at Capestone Hotel in Harare.
The event was graced by institution leaders including the founder, Professor Aaron M Masocha, Dr L. Madzinga, Dean of Students, ambassadors and other officials.
Professor Aaron who led the procession commended the good works and the hunger for serving of Apostle Mazuru and he urged him to keep on with the mandate of serving Jesus, Christ and the community.
“We are glad to honour Apostle Mazuru who is now a Doctor for his outstanding work he has been carrying out for over 15 years. The man has a heart which needs to serve others. This is the reason why today we have gathered to honour him.
“As an institution, we don’t really necessarily honour religious figures only but even those who have been working tirelessly within their area of focus, for the betterment of the world at large. We have musicians, individuals, business people, entrepreneurs who were working to transform the community; these are the ones we actually need.
“There are so many unsung heroes and heroines who did mighty works but failed to have a privilege to be publicised due to many reasons, they are the ones we honour as well,” said Masocha.
The professor, who taught various theological institutions in Zimbabwe, regionally and internationally, also conferred Dr Mazuru with an ambassadorship role and he urged him to use his role to reach the areas needed to be reached.
He also urged all leaders not to hinder others who need to be seen but to help them to gain limelight.
Apostle Mazuru won many people’s hearts due to his committed services. He expressed gratitude for the recognition and he tied himself to the work of the gospel till the coming of Jesus Christ.
“I am truly humbled by this incredible honour bestowed upon me by AfroAsia University of Spiritual Warfare. I accept this Doctorate and ambassadorship role with great humility and gratitude. I pledge to continue serving Jesus, Christ and the community with renewed passion and dedication. My heart beats for the gospel, and I will continue to serve until the end.”
“I am grateful to Professor Aaron M Masocha and the entire AfroAsia University family for this recognition. This honour is not just mine, but a testament to the power of teamwork and the support of my family, friends and ministry partners. I dedicate this award to the unsung heroes and heroines who tirelessly serve humanity. Together, let’s continue to make a difference in our world,” he said.
