Nearly 100 women under the banner of Deborah Woman Arise Prayer Group were spiritually empowered at the annual prophetic, healing and deliverance end of year prayer meeting which was hosted by Prophetess Petty Esther Svodziwa at Arcadia Community Hall in Harare on Saturday 14 December 2024.
In her sermon taking from the book of Judges 5:7, Prophetess Svodziwa encouraged women to be the Deborahs of their families by rising and praying for their families.
“A woman must be prayerful. We change situations by prayer. I know that there are many situations that are troubling our families and some of them might be marital problems but I have come today to strengthen you that you should arise like Esther and pray for a turnaround in your lives and families.
“Do not be discouraged by how big the problems might be or by what people say but believe in the power of your prayer as a woman who believes in God,” she said.
Meanwhile speaking as the guest speaker, Prophetess Moshyleen taught about the power of having faith in God and of declaring the word of God in every situation.
“Let us learn from that woman who had a blood issue for 12 years, in her mind she just said if I only touch the garment of Jesus Christ I will be healed, surely when she did so she was completely healed. That is the power of faith and as women we should have that faith that if we approach God with our issues, he will hear us. Also we should learn to declare the word of God in our lives so that what we want can manifest. What you declare with your mouth will happen, more precisely if it is the word of God,” she said.
One of the attendees said “The service was powerful, we have been spiritually revived and uplifted. I can say we are now ready to face what is coming in the year 2025,”she said.
The prayer meeting was running under the theme “Deborah Arise” and has drawn women from different locations of Harare.
Deborah Woman Arise Prayer Group is an Interdenominational prayer movement which was launched in April this year.
Entertainment was provided by Minister Elroi Simbarashe Chitiyo.
