Zimbabwe Assemblies of God Africa (ZAOGA FIFMI) Presiding Bishop Dr. Joseph Guti has reiterated that the church will march on as the legacy of the late founder of the global Pentecostal movement Archbishop Professor Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti continues to live and make impact in both the present and coming generations.
He said this during the Ezekiel Guti Day that was observed on 3 May 2025 at Braeside Christian Centre International in Harare.
Speaking to multitudes who gathered for the celebrations, Dr. Joseph Guti challenged the members of the church to be a testament of the great ministry of the late Archbishop Guti through demonstrating the genuine fear of God and righteousness which was the main gospel of the late faith hero.
“We have gathered today to celebrate and remember the works and the ministry of our spiritual father Ezekiel Handinawangu Guti, celebrating his legacy. You need to demonstrate that there was an impact of the ministry of Ezekiel Guti in your life.
“Multitudes of youths, from the books that Baba Guti wrote you can be reminded of the ways of God. Some of us as youths we are not living a life that truly reflects the genuine fear of God. If you want to grow spiritually, you need to read what our father wrote in the books and also to follow our pattern as ZAOGA FIFMI which is anchored on “Fear not, Sin not”, said Guti.
Speaking during the same occasion Senior Archbishop Professor Eunor Guti, widow of the late national hero Archbishop Ezekiel Guti emphasized that love should be the pillar of church which brings joy amongst the believers.
“Yes, we are saying our Father had gone to be with the Lord but we are sure that his spirit is with us because he obeyed and planted the true seed that God gave him.
“He used to love and sing a song which speaks about the God’s commandment which tells us to love one another so that our joy may be full,” she said.
The Ezekiel Guti Day was marked with various activities which include Walkathon and Aerobics, Ezekiel Guti Legacy Awards and the Ezekiel Guti Legacy Music Show.

Meanwhile participants who shared their sentiments after taking part in the walkathon and aerobics which were done at Grange Christian College expressed great joy and testified that their lives were positively impacted by the ministration of the late Archbishop Ezekiel Guti.
Pastor Alick from Cold Comfort Harare said “I am so excited to be part of these celebrations this year. The walkathon helped me in terms of exercising and fellowshipping with others. We are happy to celebrate the legacy of our father and we will continue to perpetuate it into the next generation, “he said.
Tadiwa said “It was really a good experience for me. I learnt a lot today. I was motivated to see our mother participating in the walkathon which really shows us as young people that indeed our father was a man of impact and his legacy should be celebrated.”
