Norton-based Afro Jazz songstress Chipochashe Muchegwa has represented the disability constituency very well at the just held Norton Times Top 10 Tracks of the Year Presentation which saw her scooping The track of the year tokens with a song titled “Makafanana” on which she featured Terry G.

Sharing expressions about the development, Muchegwa said the recognition means a lot to her as it shows that her efforts in the music industry are making an impact and are not in vain.
“I am very happy about the recognition I just received It really shows that I am being appreciated and celebrated out there. It will stand as motivation to me and remind me that I should continue doing better and better,” said Muchegwa.
She further revealed that a single tribute track for Terry G who succumbed to a cardiac arrest in December last year will be released next week.
“Next week I will release a single track titled pasi hariguti as tribute to Terry G who died some weeks ago,” she added.
Meanwhile,Norton Times Director Meluleki Ncube vowed endless support for upcoming artists in the town of Norton.
“Our aim is to create a platform of exposure for community-based talents and upcoming artists. We realised that small names have not been given fair and adequate attention hence we introduced the annual presentations believing that big media outlets will recognize them through us,” he said.
