Apostle Joy Museba, founder and senior pastor of New Creation Life Ministries International, stresses on Kingdom Affluent Masters page, an initiative he spearheads, the people you surround yourself with can significantly impact your life. Choosing the right relationships is crucial, as they can either uplift or hinder your progress.
“As you navigate through life, it’s essential to recognize the impact that the people you surround yourself with can have on your life. The company you keep can either lift you up or bring you down, and it’s crucial to be mindful of the relationships you cultivate,” he said.
He warns that negative influences and toxic relationships can hinder your progress, citing 1 Corinthians 15:33, which cautions against the corrupting influence of bad company.
“You may find yourself losing battles or struggling to make progress because of the people you’re surrounded by. It’s possible that the negative energy, toxic behaviors, or destructive patterns of those around you can be holding you back. The Bible warns us about the dangers of bad company, saying, “Do not be misled: ‘Bad company corrupts good character'” (1 Corinthians 15:33)”
He also urged people to be mindful of people who are neglecting their God-given assignments, as their influence can be contagious. Surround yourself with those who follow God’s will to stay focused on your own path.”
“It’s also important to be aware of people who are running away from their God-given assignments. These individuals may be struggling with their own purposes and goals, and their lack of direction can be contagious. You must be careful not to get caught up in their chaos and distractions, lest you lose focus on your own path”
“The story of Jonah and the ship is a powerful reminder of the impact that one person can have on others. The whole ship was sinking because of Jonah’s disobedience and rebellion against God. It’s essential to surround yourself with people who are following God’s will,” he added.
Meanwhile, he said you have the power to choose relationships that uplift and support you, helping you stay focused on your God-given purpose.
