As the morning sun casts its gentle rays upon the earth, let us quiet our hearts and minds to dwell on the timeless words of Psalm 46:10:
“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.”

In a world filled with noise, distractions, and busyness, the command to “be still” may seem counterintuitive.
Yet, in the stillness, we find a sacred space to encounter the presence of God, to listen to His voice, and to rest in His peace.
“Be still”:
These two simple words invite us to cease striving, to lay aside our worries and fears, and to surrender control to the One who holds all things in His hands.
It is a call to pause amidst the chaos of life, to quiet the clamour of our minds, and to open our hearts to the whispers of the Holy Spirit.
“And know that I am God”:
In the stillness, we come to a deeper understanding of who God is – sovereign, omnipotent, and ever-present.
He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the Creator of the universe and the sustainer of all life.
As we quiet our souls before Him, we are reminded of His faithfulness, His goodness, and His unchanging love for us.
“I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth”:
In the stillness, we also recognize God’s promise to reveal His glory to the nations and to be exalted throughout the earth.
Despite the chaos and turmoil that may surround us, we can take comfort in the knowledge that God is on His throne, ruling and reigning with power and authority.
His purposes will ultimately prevail, and His name will be lifted high among all peoples.
As we embrace the call to be still before God, may we experience a deep sense of peace and rest in His presence.
May we let go of our worries and fears, knowing that He is in control and that He will never leave nor forsake us.
And may we exalt Him with all our hearts, declaring His goodness and proclaiming His glory to the ends of the earth.
