These pastors reside in areas where there is no access to transport and the bicycles will enable them to bring more souls from different areas to Christ as the Bible says,” How shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent?” [Romans 10 vs 14-15]
‘’Basikoro for Jesus is a platform to empower rural pastors of different denominations so they can win more souls for Jesus’’ said Pastor Lucy Kawenda, the visionary of Godly women without borders
Different pastors from various denominations were given bicycles so as to enhance their ministry in rural areas.
The pastors expressed their gratitude as they reflected on the challenges they were facing like walking long distances and failure to be on time for services
‘’We were not able to reach areas but the bicycle will now make it easier for us to visit the sick and to preach the gospel,’’ said Pastor Nokuthula Ndiweni of Brethren in Christ Zimbabwe church in Zvishavane.
‘’We were facing challenges to preach the gospel as there is no access to transport in rural areas but now because of the bicycle it will be easy to travel long distance areas winning more souls for Jesus’’ said Pastor Goredema Chaniwa of fountain of life ministries in Mazowe.
The pastors were encouraged to work hard despite at times receiving nothing in return of their services because even the poor deserve such services, as the anointed ones, God will remember them, said the guest preacher, Apostle Blessing Chimuto.
