Sharing sentiments on independence day this Thursday, Apostle Professor Raymond Mujeyi who is the Founder of Revival International Ministries congratulated the country for attaining independence and applauded the government for allowing churches to worship freely.
“It is clear in the history that before independence it was impossible for a Zimbabwean to own and lead a church but after independence we now have freedom to carry our God given assignments and I want to express my gratitude to the government of Zimbabwe and to our President Emmerson Mnangagwa for allowing us to be free as faith leaders as long we adhere to the country’s laws and statutes,” he said.

“As church leaders we express our appreciation and full support to all government’s initiatives and we will continue to pray for our country for peace and unity to prevail. As a church we will continue to dedicate all government’s programmes into the hands of the Almighty for example we are praying for the new currency that it continues to gain power and bring more stability in the country,” said Bhoundi
Gweru-based Pastor Bright who is the Visionary of Word of Redemption Churches said “Independence means we are set free and allowed by God to make some decisions without asking someone and it allows us to worship God using anything as long as it is aligning with the word of God and not breaching country’s laws.
“We thank God for such a great opportunity in our country,it is grace to be able to exercise what you believe without anyone attacking you or the authorities attacking you that is what I love about our country,” he said
