In a bid to combat drug and substance abuse among youth, the Old Highfield Roman Catholic Parish Anti Drug and Substance Abuse Commission initiated the first phase of its awareness campaign at St. Claire centre in Southerton, Harare.

During the launch at Mass, the Parish Priest emphasised the importance of setting goals and staying focused on them, urging young people to steer clear of drugs to avoid hindering their development and progress.
He highlighted the alarming rise of drug abuse among youth, attributing it to experimentation and attempts to cope with trauma, stressing the urgent need to tackle the epidemic.
