This session aimed at equipping them with comprehensive knowledge on cholera case definition. The participants, comprising 34 men and 60 women, hailed from primary and secondary schools in Epworth and Chitungwiza.
The workshop is part of a broader effort to enhance cholera prevention and early detection within the school environment.
By empowering these coordinators with critical information and skills, the initiative is expected to significantly bolster the capacity of schools to manage and respond to cholera outbreaks effectively.
The ZCC is spearheading the Emergency Cholera Response program across Harare, Chitungwiza, and Epworth, with generous funding from Save the Children.
This program underscores the importance of community involvement and education in combating public health crises, aiming to safeguard the health of children and the broader community.
