Good morning everyone! It is a blessing to be here with you all this morning. We serve a God who is loving.
We want to talk to you about something that is very important to our faith, and that is that our God is a loving God. We see the evidence of this loving God throughout the Bible.

In the Old Testament, God promises to Israel that He will be their loving God: “I will be your God throughout your lifetime — until your hair is white with age. I made you, and I will care for you. I will carry you along and save you.” (Isaiah 46:4 NLT).
In the New Testament, Jesus tells us of God’s loving nature: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV).
We can also see examples of God’s love throughout history. We see it in Moses who led the Israelites out of Egypt and into the Promised Land; we see it in Esther who saved her people from certain destruction; we see it in Joseph who was sold into slavery but eventually raised to a high position in Egypt; we see it in Mary who gave birth to Jesus and raised him as her own.
These stories tell us that our God is a loving God, and we can learn how to solve our problems by learning from them. Here are three practical steps that we can take in order to better understand and experience this loving God:
1. Spend time in prayer: Prayer is a direct line of communication between us and God. By spending time in prayer, we are able to open ourselves up to hearing from God and experiencing His love.
2. Read the Bible: The Bible gives us insight into God’s character and His love for us. We can learn from the stories of the Bible how God worked in people’s lives to show them His love.
3. Serve others: Serving others is the ultimate demonstration of God’s love. By serving others, we are able to put our faith into action and share God’s love with those around us.
These are three practical steps that we can take in order to better understand and experience the loving God that we serve. May we all be open to His love and grace and live our lives according to His will.
