Renew your mind O children of God

Good morning everyone. This morning we are going to talk about renewing our minds. As Christians we must always renew our minds every second.

This is an important concept from scripture and it can help to transform our lives in powerful ways.

We are going to look at three practical steps based on scripture that will help us to renew our minds this morning.

First, let’s look at what scripture says about renewing our minds.

In Romans 12:2, Paul wrote, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Gods will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Paul is telling us that we can transform our lives by renewing our minds.

It is essential that we don’t conform to the pattern of this world, but instead, focus on what God wants for us and our lives.

Now let’s look at the three practical steps for renewing our minds this morning.

The first step is to fill our minds with activities that are pleasing to God. We can do this by meditating on scripture, praying, and learning about God’s will for us.

As we meditate on the Word of God, we will be filled with the Spirit and the desires of God will become our desires as well.

We can also fill our minds with positive music and stories that help us to reflect on God’s goodness and mercy.

The second step is to think about how we can serve God better. We can do this by looking for ways to serve others.

We can look for ways to use our time, talents, and resources to bring glory to God. We can also look for opportunities to share the Gospel with those who are lost in need of a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

The third step is to guard our minds from negative influences such as gossip, negative thoughts, and bad habits.

We can do this by avoiding situations that might lead us to sin and by spending time in prayer and meditation each day.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:8, “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

When we are mindful of what we are thinking and doing, it will help us to guard our minds from negative influences and draw closer to God.

In conclusion, let’s remember the importance of renewing our minds this morning.

By following the practical steps of filling our minds with activities that are pleasing to God, thinking about how we can serve Him better, and guarding our minds from negative influences, we can be transformed by the renewing of our minds and live a life that brings glory to God.
