Romans 15:5 (NIV) “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

My friends, today I want to talk to you about a very important topic: inspiring one another.
We are called to encourage each other, even as Jesus had encouraged us. Let us look further into this topic today.
First, we must understand the importance of mutual encouragement.
The Apostle Paul says in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”
We are called to build each other up and inspire one another. We should be reminded of this every day, just as the Israelites were reminded of God’s commandments.
In Deuteronomy 11:18-19 it says, “Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
We must remind ourselves to encourage each other so that we can glorify God in all that we do.
Second, let us look to Jesus for an example of how to inspire one another. Jesus showed us how to love one another even when we are struggling.
In Mark 10:45, Jesus says, “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
Jesus showed us that we must serve one another, even when it is difficult. We must be willing to give of ourselves, even when it is hard. Finally, let us look at the example of the early church in Acts 2:44-45.
“All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.”
The early church was a model for how we should live our lives today. They showed us that we should be willing to give of ourselves for the benefit of others.
My friends, today I have talked to you about inspiring one another. We are called to encourage each other, just as Jesus did for us.
We should remember the importance of mutual encouragement and look to Jesus for an example of how to do this.
Finally, let us be inspired by the example of the early church who gave generously to those in need. May we all strive to live our lives as a model of encouragement and inspiration for one another. Amen.
