Good morning! Be prepared our morning devotion for today is taken from 1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
The enemy never rests; always be prepared. As Christians, we must be prepared for the enemy’s attacks and be aware of his strategies. First, we must remember that the devil is a liar and the father of lies.

He will use any means necessary to try to deceive us and lead us astray. Jesus warned us in John 8:44, “He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks out of his own character, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”
Second, we must remain vigilant in our faith. The devil will try to tempt us with the things of this world and distract us from our relationship with God.
Therefore, it’s important that we keep our focus on God and His Word.
Jesus said in Matthew 4:4, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.”
Third, we must put on the full armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-11 tells us, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.”
We need to put on the belt of truth, breastplate of righteousness, shoes of peace, shield of faith, helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit if we want to stand firm against the enemy.
My friends, we must never forget that the enemy never rests and is always looking for someone to devour. We must always be prepared and stay vigilant in our faith so that we can resist the devil’s schemes.
