The United Methodist Church’s Chitakatira Miracle Circuit has recently received a significant boost to its operations with the handover of a 6kV solar system valued at US$2,571 and a Starlink kit worth US$350 from US-registered NGO CCIP Zimbabwe.
The donation, made at a ceremony at Chitakatira Miracle Centre, addressed longstanding challenges with power and connectivity in the area.
CCIP Zimbabwe, which focuses on children’s education and welfare, has a strong connection to the community, with Reverend K. Mukwindidza among its members.
“This donation will go a long way in boosting our online ministry. The solar system will assist us with power all the way round, and we are truly grateful for that,” said Rev Happy Chirara, Pastor-in-Charge of Chitakatira Miracle Circuit.
Church member Matthew Rwanga welcomed the donation, noting it would enhance communication and safeguard perishable projects. “With the Starlink kit, our communication is going to be enhanced. We are going to follow online programmes without network hiccups,” he said.
CCIP Zimbabwe has previously supported the community, drilling a borehole and installing a piped water system, paying school fees for learners, and contributing to parsonage construction.
The ceremony was marked by prayers, testimonies, and praise, with church leaders expressing gratitude for the donation, which will strengthen communication and support the circuit’s ministry and community projects.
