Dr. Apostle Bernie launched a book titled ‘’My Journey to weight loss and wellness’’ as a way of advocating for good health.
Speaking to Zimgospel Masters, Dr Bernie said she was motivated by living well and healthy. The book is a must for everyone because everyone should live a healthier life and not being on medication, suffering from any ailment that can stop one from working.
She said the book educates people that for you to have an effective weight loss program or before starting a wellness journey, one should have an opportunity to visit a doctor who is going to run down some test to check how is your sugar levels, Blood pressure etc.

‘’To live well in every sense and enjoying life without ailments that slow your activities like Diabetes, Blood pressure, anemia, constipation and bad cholesterol.
‘’ Before embarking on a wellness journey, visiting a doctor is important because he/she will tell you which areas need to be changed’’
She also said when going through the weight loss program, you need to exercise the 3 D’s in life which are Discipline, Dedication and Direction. The book will tell you to run away from sugary things failure to do that is lack of discipline, also be a dedicated person, make sure you are not being pressured by anyone but you doing it from a place of confidence and when you are dedicated, direction is set.

The book launch was graced by other speakers such as Dr. Advocate, Author- Arthur Marara, Dr. Tsungie Reid, Dr. Rinos Mautsa, Mr. Jerry Nyazungu, Ms Chipo Mandela, coach Gwen Mutsa Chikofi, minister David Mkana and Apostle Masangano.
Advocate Arthur Marara urged people to normalize a culture of buying books as he said the world does not pay for ignorance but you pay for ignorance and he pointed out on making right connections, choices and conversations in 2024.
‘’We live in a society where we are so convenient to blame the devil but you do not want to read books,’’ said Marara.
Dr. Tsungie Reid urged people to choose right food that support the body such as okra to clean unwanted fat, boiled spinach and cabbage.
‘’ Before embarking in a weight loss journey understanding what foods to eat to address particular medical problems is important’’
She also said what you may be diagnosing today will affect your body 10 years later so you have to be willing and intentional because you are the gate keeper of your health so know what you take and apply to your skin.
Dr. Mautsa urged people to have meaningful relationships in life because people are set in our path for a purpose and nothing happened by accident so it is your duty to bring value to relationships.
‘’Of all the relationships that you have, identify which ones you should invest in and it is not about money only but studying who you are in a relationship with and see areas that you can add value.

Mr. Nyazungu urged people to write books because books change people’s lives and it is important for the future generation.
Ms. Mandela said in as much as we eat right food and make sure we are in the right state of mind it is also important to be financially independent, having spiritual guidance, building your brand, having social capital and family.
‘’Sometimes we fail to do what we want mainly because we do not have money, not knowing that you have it through the person sitting next to you but we do not invest time to understand the person next to you, it is also important to find a mentor within your spiritual space, someone that you can talk to without being judged’’
Apostle Masangano urged people to take care of their bodies because your body is the temple of God and God is also concerned with your body that he would want you to take care of.
