The Zimbabwe Women Premier Soccer League is gearing up for an exciting season of football action as clubs have fulfilled all necessary requirements, including the payment of affiliation fees.

The league, initially slated to commence on April 13th, was postponed to allow clubs more time to meet these prerequisites.

Theresa Maguraushe, Interim Board Chairperson of the Women Premier Soccer League, confirmed that all clubs have completed the FIFA registration process for their players and have settled their affiliation fees.

With these essential steps accomplished, the stage is set for the league to commence on Saturday, May 11th.

Maguraushe expressed her satisfaction with the progress, stating, “All the soccer league players are now registered, they will be given their licences anytime from now, and a series of all other objectives have been met.

Therefore, we are happy to announce that the Zimbabwe Women Premier Soccer League starts on Saturday the 11th of May, watch the space.”

The successful registration of players not only ensures compliance with international football regulations but also protects their rights and opens doors to future opportunities.

Initially scheduled to begin this month, the league faced delays due to various issues, including player registration with FIFA and the payment of affiliation fees by clubs.

Additionally, the ratification of the league constitution, outlining governance and structure, was pending.
