“Usagarire maoko haisi chair, come out of the comfort zone”, said Pastor Evelyn Gaga (Mama Gaga) during an interview with ZimGospel Masters. She said it is important for women to be independent because an independent woman can make her own decisions just like the Shunammite woman in 2 kings 4vs8-37 who confronted her husband and said let’s build a home for the man of God. Therefore, an independent woman is able to make her own decisions because she has her own.
“If you do not have your own account, it would be difficult to tell your husband about your decisions but if you have your own, you are able to do your own decisions”
She urged women to come out of the dependence syndrome even if the husband is rich because no one knows tomorrow.
“Women should come out of being controlled, no matter your husband has money because there shall come a time when the husband would pass away and it would be difficult to come out of that dependence syndrome”
She said for women to rise in business as female entrepreneurs, they must have self-confidence, courage, vision, strategy, leadership skills, be hardworking, principled, skillful and creative.
“Be creative, find ways to lure your clients and have strategy on how you are going to make money”
“Be principled. Be a woman of faith because there are forces that will tell you that it can’t work but in reality it will work for sure. Have skills to humble yourself, you must not prove a point that you are big to your customer rather reduce yourself”
Meanwhile she said, it’s very crucial to continue improving and learn how to communicate with your customers because sometimes you end up judging or laughing when it’s unnecessary. Build your support networks as well because you will not rise alone.
