Renowned sought-after speaker, teacher, and counselor Evangelist Nelly Gwatidzo has challenged parents to be active to monitor their children’s exposure to online content saying that it is high time  children should be controlled and monitored on what they watch on television and social media in the wake of rampant dirty material that is being produced on internet.

In her message to the parents, Evangelist Gwatidzo highlighted that parents should be united when it comes to nurturing their children saying that if there is a division among parents, children will take advantage of that loophole to escape control from any of the parents.

“We should now understand that it is important for us as parents to know what our children expose themselves to when they are on televisions and social media. There is a lot of dirty material nowadays that is accessible online so as parents we need to monitor them closely.

“Also as couples we should be united when raising up our children so that they will not see as if there is the other side that is weak or showing favoritism. We must have one voice when it comes to nurturing and disciplining our children,” said Gwatidzo.

She further expressed that parents should create friendships with their children so that they will be free to share their life experiences.

“Our parenting style should shift to become one that is friendly, that creates a platform for open conversations between a parent and a child.

“This is important because it allows children to express their experiences for example issues of abuse they might be facing either from peers or people around theme,” she added.

A recent study into children’s media and online habits shows that four in 10 children aged 8-17 (39%) have experienced bullying, either on or offline. Among these children, the bullying was more likely to happen on a device (84%) than face-to-face (61%)

Evangelist Nelly Gwatidzo is a dynamic and passionate servant of God, dedicated to spreading the Gospel and empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives. With a strong educational foundation in theology, Evangelist Gwatidzo is a sought-after speaker, teacher, and counselor.

She is driven by a passion to see people transformed by the power of God’s love. Her ministry focuses on empowering individuals to live victorious lives, built on a foundation of faith, hope, and love.
