Ten people were on Sunday 8 February 2026 blessed with hampers of basic commodities by Grace of God International Ministries Founder Apostle Michael Mauramba and partners under the ministry’s philanthropic initiative which aims to assist its underprivileged church members.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Apostle Mauramba expressed that the gesture was meant to support members who sometimes struggle to put food onto the table that include the elderly, widows and the less privileged.
“As you know that we launched this arm in 2025, we will continue to support our members who deserve it.
“It is a gesture of love and kindness as we want to worship God with everyone in the church happy. We do not want to see our members struggling while we continue to preach the message of love and unity,” he said.
Beneficiaries who spoke to this publication and preferred anonymity expressed their gratitude and excitement saying that the relief came at the right time during which they were still battling to recover from January struggles often referred to as “January disease.”
“I am a widow and I depend on my children who send me some assistance when they get something but this month I believe things were difficult for them since they could not sent something. Today I rejoice as I receive this package, it is a major relief to me and my family,” she said.
“I want to thank the man of God for remembering us. As I was in the church my head was cracking as I was thinking about what I am going to eat when I get home but now all my stress has gone. It now gives me another chance to work so that I can get something later after using which I got today,” she said.
The gesture resonates with the way Jesus Christ walked when he was on earth, after preaching he could gather the multitudes and gave them some food, according to Mathew 14:16.
