“Celebrating seven years, to me, means real establishment and growth, it has been God since the first day,” said the visionary founder of Divine Family Ministries International (DFMI), Apostle Amos Taguta, during the celebration of the church’s 7th anniversary at their premises in Kuwadzana 5.
Speaking on the second day of the event, Apostle Taguta, who is also a father to the recently trending talented young girl Eliana, sang all the songs of the Unveiled Choral group intensified the challenges of establishing a ministry.
“The establishment and God’s calling are not an easy thing; that is the reason we are celebrating today.
“We are celebrating 7 years of existence, and it means completeness and growth. Celebration is not a problem; actually, it is good, but you need to be aware. We must grow and also move forward as a church,” he added. He encouraged the congregation to deepen their relationship with God, referencing the incident of Jesus at age 12 in Luke 2:48.
“As you’re growing, know your God, not like some other people who don’t know their God, said Apostle Taguta.
Apostle Taguta expressed thankfulness to God for the calling.
“I thank God for calling me to heal and unite the community of Kuwadzana through various initiatives. By doing so, we are looking to establish assemblies in all corners of the world.”
The anniversary conference graced by renowned ministers of the gospel, including guest speaker Apostle Bvumbe, who taught the church about seeking favor for opening doors as they grow, citing Isaiah 22:22.
“There are closed doors that men cannot open in his or her own life that needs God. As the church is growing, you must understand the dynamics of opening doors.”
“Each door has its own keys to unlock it; it is crucial to know the exact key that unlocks. Everyone needs an open door,” he continued. “Sometimes our keys have got someone else; we might go to nice churches with high standards but fail to find our keys.”
Prophet B Mwamba opened the conference, acknowledging the commitment of the church’s visionaries since its inception.
Chegutu-based Prophet Elisha also delivered a message resonating with the conference’s theme of grace.
Also the councilor of the area was also present at the Sunday service, where he was given a chance to meet the congregation and share a word of wisdom.
Apostle Taguta is married to Prophetess Louisa and has two daughters. His church was established on the 25th of 2017 with only a few members. In its third year, like many churches, it faced the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the gospel continued to thrive as the visionary introduced the idea of small groups meeting in homes.
The event attracted a large number of attendees who traveled from Odzi, Mhondoro, Mvurwi, and Centenary to witness this momentous cake-cutting celebration.
