The Divine Women Of Prayer International two-day annual conference has started this Friday in Chitungwiza with women from across the country gathered for spiritual upliftment, empowerment and fellowship under the theme “Tinovaka Tinokunda”.

Through the leadership of the Founder of the movement Prophetess Sinodia Nyashanu Charakupa, the conference brought together other gospel ministers who include Evangelist Trymore Muparinga,Bishop Paradise, Apostle Takaedza, Rev Mhandu and Dr. Abigail Magwenzi.

Speaking while opening the conference Founder Charakupa said that a woman should be a vessel who stands on a gap to make things right through prayer.

In her opening remarks about this year’s theme “Panovakika Tinokunda”, Prophetess Charakupa said that the theme aims at encouraging saints that with God all things are possible through faith.

“We are excited to host this year’s annual conference as women. We have seen a great improvement of our meeting as compared to the one we had last year. This year’s theme is a continuation of what we have been running with since last year and we are saying with God through prayer we will build our marriages, communities, families and our homes.

“Many women are testifying because of prayer. Some are buying cars, building houses and buying stands through prayer, so I am encouraging women to join us as we proceed with the conference until tomorrow,” she said

In his sermon during the conference ,Evangelist Trymore Muparinga encouraged saints to understand that whenever there is a challenge, a blessing is around the corner while revealing that the blessing can only be grabbed if one develops maturity, stands with faith, gets revelation and have understanding about how the things of God work.

He further said God does not have a formula when dealing with people’s situations but he addresses situations in different ways hence the need for believers to understand that God can also send his servants do deal with other people’s problems.

“As i am anchoring my preaching on John 9:5, where there is anointing, it needs revelation, maturity and understanding to grab it. Where there is a challenge, there is a breakthrough and a blessing, you should also know that it comes with a serious fight. If you do not hear God and hear people during a challenge, you will miss your blessing.

“The day you are about to receive your blessing that’s when criticism and attack come therefore as a child of God you need to be firm and say nothing can shake me or turn me off. You need to declare the good things that you want to see manifesting in your life. The journey of faith is not easy, it faces attacks but you should stand firm with faith saying that greater is the one whom I have received.

“The journey to Siloam is not easy but you should keep fighting until you get your sight like that blind man. Keep going until your testimony comes so that people will see the great works of God through you. God’s grace is sufficient to change your situation. What people and connections cannot do,the grace of God can do it,” said Muparinga

Meanwhile Dr. Abigail Magwenzi who is a Mental Health Advocate and Women Empowerment Strategist took the opportunity to advise women on how they can deal with their children who might have become drug addicts saying that “The bible says if a builder builds a house without Jesus, he builds in vain. As parents let Christ be the foundation of our families. With this pandemic of drug abuse that is eroding the future of young people, as parents let us be swift to respond to a challenge as soon as possible just like we do to a person who has been involved in an accident.

“Romans 12:2 says do not conform to the patterns of this world but be transformed through the renewal of the mind. The word of God is the therapy and one should be born again in order to win against this ill so our children should know the word of God,” she said

Some of the women who attended the conference testified the transformation of their lives through powerful sermons and teachings from the speakers.

One of the beneficiaries says “We are happy to be part of this conference, as women we are taught to be prayerful and to work using our own hands. We are now able to wake up at 4 o’clock in the morning praying for our families,” she said

Mrs Hokonya the chief hostess said “The conference is powerful. Since I joined the group sometime ago, my life totally changed. We are being guided as mothers to lead successful families through prayer. The devil might steal all other things but not something that is deposited inside. As women let us stand for our families,” she said

Divine Women Of Prayer International was formed in 2011 with only two members Prophetess Charakupa and Mrs. Maigurira.

Other gospel ministers who are expected to grace the conference include Evangelist Paul Saungweme and Sabastian Magacha.
