The move aims at capacitating parishes on sustainable business ventures in solving environmental problems being experienced through improper solid waste management.
The training programme was held recently at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Cowdray Park where 56 participants from parishes at Emakhandeni, Entumbane and Cowdray Park were trained on Recycling As A Business with the participants challenged to be exemplary in environmental stewardship by participating in prevention of pollution and protection of the environment.
“The objective of this programme is so that the church and communities are actively engaged in issues of environmental protection and integrity of creation as one of the Social Teaching of the Catholic Church is integrity of creation,” said EMA
